2011 reprocessing of my 2010 photo from the Wintercheck Factory shoot: [link]

This is geared more toward a print, if I ever get around to printing again. I just wanted to make something exciting from it. I'm currently revamping my Facebook fan page and came across the image as I was collecting my portraits. :)

I may move this to my scraps soon. I just wanted to see what you all thought.

For me it works well as a B/W, maybe a bit more dramatic that the color version, though it seems a bit forced/overworked. Specifically, the dark color in the background does not seem to match the shade of the darkest shadows in the hair and on the face. This gives me the feeling that the background was all burned in via PS.

Looking at the original I can see that the background was dark to begin with, but this version just has that manipulated "vignette" look to it. Maybe if you completely desaturated it? Or played with the curves so that all the shadows were the same value and hue?

I'm not necessarily *against* enhancement or manipulation of the image. I just don't like to see the evidence of it.
